Molly Gonzales Obituary

Molly V. Gonzales Resident of San Leandro Molly V. Gonzales, a San Leandro resident of 51 years, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2010, at the age of 88. She fought valiantly to the end against the forces of time and nature, a true testament to her courage and formidable will. She will be greatly missed by her loving family whom she treasured most of all. With her passing goes an eternal light that lit the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her, she was special beyond words. Our loss is Heaven?s gain and she now dwells among the Angels just as she did for her beloved family. We were blessed to have benefited from her sage wisdom, kind and thoughtful words, and remarkable and irrepressible spirit. God bless you Mom! Dearly beloved wife of her late husband Louie who preceded her in 2000 after 56 years of marriage. Their love was indomitable and full of devotion and intense emotion. A merciful God has reunited them to be together for eternity as they had been on earth. Loving mother of five sons, Louis & Lupe Gonzales, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, Arthur & Lorna Gonzales of Fremont, Richard & Sandra Gonzales of Fremont, Rubin Gonzales of San Leandro, and Anthony Gonzales of Oakland. Proud grandmother of Gina Gonzales, Cynthia Gonzales, Ricky & Karen Gonzales, Angela Gonzales-Jovel, Arthur & Leticia Gonzales, Jr., Lisa Gonzales (her Mom?s angel in Heaven since 1999), and Louis Gonzales III. Dear Great-grandmother of 13 and leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She loved family gatherings most of all. Molly, a native of Aguascaliente, Mexico, is the daughter of Antonio and Anselma Villalovos. She was the youngest of 4 siblings, Amado, Mary, and Augustin Villalovos, who are all deceased. She taught her sons the love of nature and she loved to travel in her precious RV and go camping, boating, fishing, and would accompany Louie on his hunting adventures. By example she showed the virtues of hard work and dedication and excelled as a lifelong homemaker, her cooking was second to none. Among her many talents and fine qualities she played the harmonica and accordion and loved to listen to her Spanish music. A truly remarkable Lady, she will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all who know and loved her. A Vigil service will be held on Sunday September 19, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro. The Chapel Blessing celebrating her life will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. also at the mortuary. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward. Visitation begins Saturday Noon to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday Noon to 8:30 P.M. Santos-Robinson Mortuary San Leandro 510-483-0123 www.santos-robinson.com
