Michael Joseph Harner, Sr. Feb. 7, 1957 Sept. 17, 2010 Resident of Fremont Our beloved hero ended his fearless and courageous battle with cancer with his loved ones at his side. Michael was born and raised in Oakland, CA and lived his entire life in the Bay Area. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Evie, their 3 children; Trina, Michael Jr. and Matthew, his 7 grandchildren; Hector, Savannah, Analiyah, Loraena, Jayden, Thalia and Christian. He is preceded in death by the grandparents who raised him, Herbert and Lois McCormick, and his brother-in-law, Hector Gutierrez. Michael was a fun loving and spontaneous person with an adventurous spirit. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and play pranks. He had the biggest heart for all living creatures, he loved the ocean, a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars and was a pirate at heart. Most of all he loved being with his family and spending time with his grand babies who adored him. He enjoyed reading, going to Disneyland and to the casinos. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
