Maria Vasquez Obituary

Maria Sophia Vasquez Resident of Oakland Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75 on September 19, 2010 in San Leandro, CA. Sophie was born to Alfredo and Sarafina Flores in Hatch, New Mexico. Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, brothers Polo, Alfredo, Joe and sisters Angie, Ramona, Lydia, Adela and Helen. Sophie is survived by her children Sandra, John, Arthur and William and daughter in-law Louise. Grandchildren Mario, Joe, Vincent, Jesse, Bianca, Arthur, Noemi Mylo, David, Joseph and Nevaeh. Great-Grandchild Alaze and Brother Eloy Flores. Sophie loved traveling, knitting, crochet, and most of all keeping up with all of the family and friends whom she loved with all her heart.She will be missed in all of our hearts forever. Family and friends are invited to attend the rosary which will be held at Grissoms Chapel & Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling San Lorenzo on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm preceded by funeral services on Thursday morning at 9am at the same location with mass at St. Johns catholic Church at 10:00 am.
