Aldon R. Janke Nov. 15, 1937 - Aug. 28, 2010 19 Year Resident of Fremont Passed away peacefully on August 28, 2010, age 72 after a long and courageous battle with illness. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Norma Janke and older brother James Janke. Loving and patient father to Robin & Michael Hahn and Natalie & Sultan Iqbal. Devoted grandfather to Michael, Madeline, Ishmael, and Jasmin. Beloved son of Mary Janke and the late August Janke of Ontario, Canada. Cherished brother to twin brother Allen Janke, Judy Gray, and Linda Hopkins of Ontario, Canada. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was born November 15, 1937 in Brokenhead, Manitoba, Canada. Al loved gardening, fishing, camping, cooking, canning, and baking special treats for loved ones. His love for his grandchildren was always apparent and what he truly lived for. Al emigrated along with Norma and her family from Canada to Fremont in 1961. Prior to Al being drafted during the Vietnam War, they were married at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on August 24, 1963. Al & Norma remained in Fremont upon his return from service and raised their family here. Al will truly be missed everyday and will remain in the hearts and thoughts of his loved one's forever. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Al's life on Saturday, September 25th at 10am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 38451 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, 94536.
