Esperanza Raab

Esperanza Raab Jun.6, 1925 - Sept. 20, 2010 Resident of Hayward Esperanza was entered into rest on September 20, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a beautiful and generous soul and was a great joy to her family and friends. She was born on June 6, 1925 in Santa Barbara, California and was the oldest of six children. She is survived by her siblings, Ben and Mel Ocampo and Delfina Naranjo; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Michael Hirigoyen; son, Bill Raab and grandchildren, Katherine Hirigoyen, Jaclyn Raab and Nathaniel Hirigoyen. Esperanza was a seeker. She was always studying philosophies and religions and had a strong belief in God. She loved reading, fashion, dancing, traveling, sewing, knitting and taking long walks. After raising her family, she worked in the retail business at Emporium Capwells in Pleasanton and Marshall's in Danville. She will be greatly missed, but, she will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to St. Vincent's De Paul or to the Alzheimer's Association. Services are private.
