Dora Holmes Feb. 15, 1915 - Sept. 17, 2010 Resident of Oakland Our beloved Dora Holmes 95 of Oakland, CA passed away Sept. 17, 2010. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Holmes, Sr. & son, Wilbert Holmes. She is survived by 6 children, 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great great Grandchildren. She was a member of the West Oakland Church of Christ & a diligent servant of the Lord. Quiet hour, Mon. Sept 27, 2010 at Whitted-William 5500 Foothill Blvd Oakland from 5-7p.m. Home going Service Sept Tues. 28, 2010 at 11, Church of Christ 1031 12th St. Oakland. She will forever be in our hearts as a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Auntie, Friend But most of all, a woman of GOD.......How Great you are.

To the family of Dora Holmes. We are saddened by your lost and pray for the Lord to comfort you in this time of sorrow. Sister Holmes was a devout Christian in all ways. She loved the Lord and demonstrated it by her daily works to help others. She was a shining light to the members of the church and we loved her dearly. We will continue to love her and the family as well. May God bless you.
