Gerald Alan Navas Mar. 24, 1953 - Sept. 22, 2010 Resident of Hayward Jerry Navas passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the age of 57. Jerry was born on March 24, 1953 to Manuel and Mary Navas who preceded him in death. He grew up in Castro Valley where he graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1971. Jerry was warm and personable and had the unique ability to connect with people. His outgoing personality helped him to become successful in his career selling cars, and he became a top sales person for both Fremont and Hayward Ford dealerships. He also loved music and truly enjoyed his work with new artists while living in Santa Cruz during the 1980's. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Mary Navas; sister and brother-in-law, Tami and Jeff MacInnes; his beloved nieces and nephews; grand nephews; and his girlfriend of many years, Heidi Beckett. Jerry loved his family and the traditions they celebrated. He was proud of his heritage and looked forward to gatherings that brought everyone together. He will be missed by his large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also had many friends who were dear to his heart. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Rd., Castro Valley beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a sharing of fond memories of Jerry's life beginning at 6:30 p.m. At Jerry's request his ashes will be scattered in a private family service off the Santa Cruz Coast.
