James Evans Obituary

James R. Evans Mar. 21, 1947 - Sept. 27, 2010 Resident of Fremont Entered into rest on September 27, 2010 at the age of 63. Devoted husband for 33 years to Myriam Evans of Fremont. Loving father to James Robert Evans, Jr., Andrew John Evans, and Catherine Marie Evans, all of Fremont. Dear brother to Gerald Evans of PA. Beloved uncle to Christopher Evans and Kenneth Evans. Predeceased by his parents John and Anna Evans. Born March 21, 1947 in Pittsburg, PA, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. James worked for San Mateo County as a real estate appraiser and then went on to his start his own business. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, writing, gardening, hiking, and camping. He loved listening to country music and classic rock. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 5:00-8:00pm with a vigil service at 6:30pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 2, 10:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, 94536. A private inurnment to be held. Donations may be sent in James' memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Fremont Chapel of the Roses (510) 797-1900
