Jewel Hall Obituary

Jewell W. Hall Dec. 20, 1926 - Sept. 12, 2010 Resident of San Leandro Jewel Wilhelmina Hall passed away in San Leandro on Sunday, September 12, 2010. She was born in Oakland, California, to Jiles B. and Loretta Coffey Williams. She was educated in the Oakland schools, and graduated from Fremont High School in 1944. She attended San Francisco State College, then married Roy Willis Hall in 1947. Her husband, Roy, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the Korean War where he died in 1951. After retiring from a business career, Jewel traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. She also enjoyed gardening, and volunteering as a member of the Unity Church. She leaves behind her son, Roy W. Hall of San Leandro, and daughter, Shaeron A. Hall, of Oakland; her brother Jiles B.Williams of Battle Creek, Michigan, and her sister, Gaynelle J. Alexander of San Jose; her nephew, David Alexander and his wife, Shawanda Alexander, and nieces, Dr. Claudia Alexander and Suzanne Ryan; four grand-nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members. A private internment took place on September 23rd 2010 at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California. Donations may be made in her name to: Saint Anthony's Dining Room, Saint Anthony's Foundation, 150 Golden Gate Ave. San Francisco, CA 94102.
