Susan Carol Bunker Jul. 10, 1944 Sept. 25, 2010 Resident of Alameda After a brief illness, our adored Mom passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 with her family by her side. Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years James Neil Bunker and her parents Bob and Jean Jacobs. She is survived by her three children, Jill Leigh Poree, Janet Carolyn Bunker and Richard Robert Bunker, her three grandchildren Rachel Poree, Matthew and Eleanor Good, her sister Nancy Wonder (Rob), Mary Tuttle (Tom) and brother John Jacobs (Patty) nephew Robert Hamilton and nieces Amy & Sarah Jacobs. She will be terribly missed by her constant canine companion Madchen, and many lifelong friends. Susan was born in Alameda and attended Alameda High School. Over the years she was very generous with her time and involvement in numerous charities including Meals on Wheels, March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. She was President of Bayview Women's Club as well as on the Altarena Playhouse Board of Directors. Susan's love of life included adventures with her Twain Harte Twin, travel with the "Bahama Mamas" and spending treasured time with her children and grandchildren. How fortunate we are to have known and loved her and be blessed with the special memories she gave us. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1700 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda.
