Geraldine F. Korth

Geraldine F. Korth 11/4/1918 - 09/30/2010 Resident of Piedmont, CA Gerry passed away peacefully at her home in Piedmont, CA the morning of September 30th at the age of 91. Everyone who knew her would agree that she was the consummate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was always full of love and had a smile for everyone. She was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan until she met the love of her life, Howard Korth, and in 1943 they married and started their lifelong journey for the next 67 years. Gerry was on the Board of Directors of FACE, Family Aid-Catholic Education, which provides tuition grants to students in-need who attend Catholic schools in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. She enjoyed golf, tennis and bridge in her youthful days and she and her husband were involved in numerous religious and charitable endeavors in their own quiet way. Gerry is survived by her husband, Howard Korth, her daughter Barbara Hegarty (George) of Pleasant Hill, CA, her son Eric Korth (Susy) of Granbury, TX, her son John Korth (Cheryl) of Troy, MI, plus 23 grandchildren and spouses and 27 great-grandchildren for a total of 50 (and growing). She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy, her parents, Frances and Raymond Wilson, and her sister, Virginia McGrath. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Tuesday, October 5, 10:00am, at Corpus Christi Church, 322 Saint James Drive, Piedmont, CA.
