Margaret Malfatti Obituary

Margaret Claire Malfatti Resident of Hayward Sept. 12, 1925 - Sept. 30, 2010 Margaret Claire Malfatti passed away on Thursday, September30 after a long illness. Margaret was born in Hayward, CA and graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School in Oakland, CA. In her early twenties, Margaret was the first runner-up in the Miss Hayward Pageant. She met her late husband, Melvin L. Malfatti, at the Ali Baba Ballroom in Oakland, CA. They were married at All Saints Catholic Church in Hayward in 1948. Margaret was a homemaker who loved her home and family. She loved to sing and loved all types of music, a love that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending Mass and decorating her home. Margaret is survived by her loving children; Barbara Simboli of Sonoma, Debra Easley of San Rafael, Ronald Malfatti of Madera and Beverli Johnson of Livermore. She lost a loving daughter, Raeanne Keliiaa, on Sept. 6, 2010. Beloved Grandmother to 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her generous and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Holy Angels Funeral and Cremation Center at 1051 Harder Road in Hayward. A funeral Mass will be held on Wed. Oct. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 22824 2nd St. in Hayward. Internment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd. in Hayward. Following services on Wednesday, the family invites you to join them for refreshments, at 400 Kingston Drive, Danville, CA 94506.
