Alfred Paul Lebon Sr.

Alfred Paul Lebon, Sr. Resident of Hayward Alfred, known to his family and friends as Al, was born on October 13, 1925. He passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Dolly Marie and son, Paul by his side on October 8, 2010. Al was employed by the Alameda County Public Works Department. He retired after 31 years of service. He was a farmer at heart and took pride in his vegetable gardens, especially his fava beans. He was an avid 49er fan and could tell you any of the team's histories from memory. He was a devoted family man and took great pleasure in providing for his wife, children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was a great man and will be deeply missed. Al was survived by his wife of 56 years Lorraine (Dolly Marie) Lebon. He had three children, Ronda Collins, Paul Lebon and Sondra Barnard. He also had three grandchildren, Jimmy, Nicci and Stacy, one great grandchild Michael, brother Rufus Lebon and many other family members. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday October 12, 2010 at Grissom's Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. in San Lorenzo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 10:30 am at Saint Joachim's Catholic Church, 21250 Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward. Al will be laid to rest following the service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
