Anna Jo Hill

Anna Jo (Curtis) Hill June 2, 1933 - Oct. 11, 2010 Resident of Fremont Anna Jo was born at home in Earlsboro, OK, and moved to CA when she was three years of age. She was the daughter of Wesley and Beatrice (Cleere) Curtis and lived in Hayward, CA, until she married her husband, Dwight W. Hill, in Reno, NV, on March 11, 1950. They resided in Hayward before purchasing their current residence in Fremont in 1956. Dwight and Anna owned and operated a trucking business for over 40 years in Fremont. Her husband, children, grandchildren and the family business were the joys in her life. Anna Jo is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dwight W. Hill, two sons, Linden and his wife Donna of Hollister, Carlton and his wife Lori of Fremont, two daughters, Sharon Wilson and her husband Bob of Red Bluff, Janice Hillyer of Fremont, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Velma Cooper of Redding, Winnie Redfearn and her husband George of Fremont, Willene Dias and her husband Gerry of Danville, Linda Pyzer and her husband Lloyd of Pleasanton, Mary Crutcher and her husband Mark of Fremont, and two brothers, Louie Curtis and his wife Juanita of Turlock and Steven Curtis and his wife Bobbi Jo of Brentwood. Donations may be given to Angels Hospice, LLC, 731 A St., Ste 207, Hayward, CA 94541, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association. Visitation will be at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mision Blvd., Hayward, CA, on Thurs., Oct. 14, from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Fri., Oct. 15, at 1:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes, Reflection Chapel, with graveside services to follow and a reception at the Veteran's Hall, 37154 2nd St., Niles District of Fremont from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
