Florence Mae "Cookie" Cook July 4, 1935 October 6, 2010 Resident of Alameda Florence peacefully passed away from Peritoneal Cancer at her home in Alameda with her loving family and hospice at her side on October 6, 2010. She was born on Fourth of July, 1935 in South San Francisco, California. Florence loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was a member of the Alameda Cancer League and the Alameda Hospital Auxiliary, also was an untiring assistant in the family business and the Lion's Club. She is survived by her loving husband, Elliot D. Cook; children: Jeanne Marie McCaffery, Steven Gregory, David Gregory, Cheryl Landreth, and Patricia Cuellar; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Gregory. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kaiser Permanente East Bay Hospice or American Cancer Society. I was very sad to hear of Granny passing. She was a great Grandmother to my daughter Jenny Gregory. I hope Jean, Steve, Dave, Cheryl and Patti remember the love in which she gave to all of them. She will be an angel upon your shoulders and a blessing in your hearts. My sympathy goes out to all of you. Watch over your Dad now as he will need all of you more than ever.
