Jacqueline Dorothy Bottoms

Jacqueline Dorothy (Kracke) Bottoms, (81) of Pullman, WA and formerly of Fremont, CA passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in Pullman, WA. Jackie was born and raised in Washington, D.C., but Fremont, California became her home when she married James Bottoms in 1948. In 2005 she moved to Bishop Place Assisted Living in Pullman, Washington, where she enjoyed making new friends and time with her daughter's family. In Pullman, she joined the Community Congregational United Church of Christ where she volunteered in the Thrift Shop. Jackie raised her 3 children while spending most of her adult life working as a legal secretary, first for Broun, Norris, & King Law Offices of Fremont, and then retiring in 1995 from the Santa Clara County DA's office. She was a hard worker, always helping someone, very generous and kind to everyone. Everyone LOVED Jackie! She loved family holidays and parties, ballroom dancing, lunch and shopping with her girls and reading a good book, but she was her happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Richard Kracke, Jackie is survived by her devoted children Richard Bottoms (Francisca) of Highland, California; Ginny Hauser (Carl) of Pullman, Washington; and Kathy Brown (Stephen) of Castro Valley, California. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren Joe Bottoms, Beth Tinsley, Tom Bottoms, Ryan Bottoms, Ricky Bottoms, Tennille Gilmartin, Katie Hauser, Mallory Brown, and great-grandchildren Ashley and Jackson Bottoms. She will be deeply missed by James Bottoms, "3rd" daughter Ellen Nelson and her many loving friends. A memorial service was held in Pullman, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of Hospice, 1610 NE Eastgate Blvd, Ste. 850, Pullman, WA 99163. Per her request, Jackie will be interred at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland with her parents. Many thanks to Hospice and to the Caregivers at Bishop Place.
