Marta Campestrini Obituary

Marta (Estrella) Campestrini Feb. 3, 1946 - Oct. 14, 2010 Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived every day of her life proud of it. Lived in Argentina until the age of 34. She had three children: Jorge, Roxana, and Alejandro. In 1980 she decided to leave her beloved Buenos Aires and established herself in Oakland, CA. Her desire to give her children a brighter future brought her to the States, and became her life mission. Our mom wanted nothing more than to see her children happy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Andrew, Oscar, Xenia, Natalie, Stephanie, Danny, Christian, Sebastian, Karen, Diego and Alejandro and great grandchildren Alexis and Alicia. She was known to her friends as Estrella (Star). All that knew our mom remember her charisma, humor, wit, and an amazing desire to have a great time any time and all times. She was THE most positive person and THE best person to talk to and ask for honest advice. She was remarkably intelligent. She was fascinated by technology and always carried herself as a confident and independent woman. She loved to shop at the Oakland Flea Market and tell us her stories of the bargains she negotiated. Installing a stereo, building a laptop, installing lights and fans in her home, or simply sipping on her favorite drink, mate, would fill her days. Her favorite times were those when all her family got together. Her biggest wish in life was to keep her family together. TE AMAMOS MAMA!! Que hermosa amista que fue cuando nos conocimos (1980). Se que se estara riendo en estos momentos, pues cuando nombro los 80's, seguro que ella recuerda el mundial, que tiempos aquellos, te acordas hermana?. Tenias risas y llantos, pero sobre todo eso, eras real, nada falso en tu persona. Siempre sacando probecho de todo, hasta ahora, vos estas en un lugar mejor y a nosotros nos dejas aca. Pero no te hagas problema, pronto te sigimos y la seguimos!. Te aman tus hermanos, no de familia, como argentinos che, LUIS Y CRISTINA.
