Kimiye Ozawa Obituary

Kimiye Ozawa, 98 Resident of Oakland Kimiye Ozawa passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2010. She was born in Oakland on January 2, 1912 to Keijiro and Sei Kimura. At the age of 2, she was taken to Japan to be raised by her grandparents and returned to the U.S. at the age of 14. She married Frank Itsuo in 1933 and was happily married for 69 years. During WWII, she was interned at Topaz, UT. Later, she owned Park Boulevard Cleaners for 27 years until she retired. She was an active member of the Buddhist Church of Oakland. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Itsuo, brother Kiyoshi, and sister Setsuko. Survived by sons, Willie, Edward (Lucy), and Robert; grandsons Greg (Kim) and Steve (Nancy) and great grandson, Ryan. A memorial service was held at the Buddhist Church of Oakland.
