Robert Forest Fingerle

Robert Forest Fingerle Sept. 26, 1951 - Oct. 17, 2010 Resident of Fremont Bob enjoyed his family, skiing, fly-fishing, working with his hands, visiting and traveling by train, plane, automobile and small ships over most all of the western US and much of the rest of the US. Cancer claimed his life on October 17, 2010 at just 59 years of age. Bob spent 20 years as a design engineer at Peterbilt Motors in Newark and then for 15 years designed and manufactured detail model train parts with his own firm of American Limited Models in Fremont. In his younger days he built a glider airplane with one of his best friends, and up to his final days he and his son worked on a custom car they were designing and building. Bob was born in San Jose, on Sept 26, 1951 to Forest & Glendoris Fingerle, both of whom survive him. He graduated from Lincoln High School in San Jose and received his BS in Engineering from San Jose State University in 1974. Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joelyn Kathleen Carr-Fingerle, their children, Jeffrey Carr Fingerle of Fremont and Katrina Rose (Fingerle) Ross of Union City and two grand-daughters Jasmine Alina Ross and Violet Marie Ross in addition to his parents in Fremont.
