Theresa Harrell

Theresa Harrell, 82, Resident of Tracy passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for over 25 years. She passed on October 18, 2010 at her residence in Tracy. Born Theresa Pothier on July 8, 1928 in Bottineau, North Dakota she has called Tracy her home for the past 8 years after moving from Fremont and Pleasanton. Terry, as she was fondly known to all, was co-owner of Buck's Trucks in Newark for about 20 years along side her husband David "Buck" Harrell. She also worked for the Red Cross for about 5 years. Terry was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fremont for many years, St. Augustine Catholic Church in Pleasanton for many years, and of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Tracy. She was very active in the churches which included being a Eucharistic Minister. Her hobbies included crocheting, bowling in her younger years, and playing golf and being a member of Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. She also enjoyed going to casinos and looked forward to her casino trips. Most of all she loved to play with her grandchildren and spend time with her family. Terry is survived by her children David Harrell and his wife Lili of San Leandro and DeAnne Nelson and her husband Steve of Tracy; her grandchildren: David Harrell Jr. and Danielle Harrell both of San Leandro and Jay Nelson and Stephanie Nelson both of Tracy; her great-grandson Shane Nelson of Tracy; and her siblings: Beulah Danielson of North Dakota; Tony Pothier of Washington; Francis Pothier of California and Jenny Root of Washington. Fry Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Services today, Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10am., St. Augustine Catholic Church in Pleasanton.
