Ruth Marion Nelson

Ruth Marion Nelson Resident of Oakland Ruth Marion Nelson, age 97, died Oct. 25 at Piedmont Gardens. She was born April 12, 1913, in Portland OR of Jacob and Edith Gordh. Ruth was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Oliver K.K. Nelson in 1990. She is survived by her three children: June Elias (Carlos) of Palm Springs, Gloria Meads (Philip) of Oakland, and Earl Nelson (Donna) of Folsom, her sister Alice Roylance of Mountain-view, brother Donald Gordh (Leona) of Portland OR, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth had a deep faith in God her whole life, was a church worker, and was known as a prayer warrior. Memorial service 2 pm Sat., Oct. 30th, the Skyroom of Piedmont Gardens, 110 41st St. Oakland, and graveside service Tues., Nov. 2, 2pm in the Turlock Memorial Park Cemetery in Turlock, CA.
