Barbara Stokes Obituary

Barbara Stokes Aug. 30, 1934 - Oct. 27, 2010 Resident of Stockton Barbara Stokes, 76, entered into rest on October 27, 2010 in Stockton, California. She was born on August 30, 1934 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Lillian Isham in Alameda California. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Stokes, her son Allen Stokes and her brother Monte Isham. Mrs. Stokes is survived by her children Bobbie Kisner and her husband Roy of Stockton and Paul Stokes of Lodi. She was blessed with two grandchildren Timothy Kisner of Virginia and Traci Guzman of Stockton. She also has 4 great-grandchildren Jodie Owens, Julia Owens, Hailey Kisner and Adriana Guzman. In addition Barbara has one surviving sister Shirley Viera of Oakdale. Barbara was the owner of CRS Travelers in Hayward as a Travel Agent for over 28 years. She was a member of Historical Society of Manteca and was heavily involved in the Manteca Ag Tour. She loved to travel as she went on many tours enjoying every part of other countries as well as the US. Her dream was to visit Africa not on business but on pleasure and her dream came true in 2004. She loved photography as it was shown in her many travels. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to collect many types of moose figurines and knick knacks. She enjoyed her outings with her companion "Smitty" going to dinners and to the lasts movie flick. Barbara was a care taker at heart as she always made sure everyone was feed and their amenities were taken care of. Barbara will be remembered as a good person who had a heart of gold. Mrs. Stokes services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 3rd at 1:00 PM at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. Donations in Lieu of flowers can be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin. An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com under obituaries.

Thank you, Barbara, for all the wonderful trips you took us on when you had CRS Travellers. They are such happy memories of so many fun times. Best of all, through these trips I made so many friends, and though you are gone, I still have them and will forever be grateful to you for that!

Barbara had a heart of gold and was va loyal friend. She liked things in order and was very precise. She had a sharp mind, always knew what she wanted and was not afraid to tell you. The candid conversations we always had will really be missed. Love and Hugs
