Terry Lee McGovern

Terry Lee McGovern March 24, 1949 - Oct. 17, 2010 Formerly of Pleasanton Terry Lee McGovern passed away, Oct. 17, 2010 of ALS in Vista, CA. He was born March 24, 1949 in Portland, OR. He is the son of Laura McGovern and the late Dr. F. J. McGovern. He grew up in Hayward and Fremont, graduating from Washington High School in 1967. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and was an outside sales rep in the electronic industry for 35 years. He lived in Pleasanton until 3 years ago when he moved to Vista, CA. He was a Mason with the Pleasanton Lodge #321F & AM and the Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dianne McGovern; his mother, Laura McGovern of Fremont; daughter Shanna McGovern; son, Shaun McGovern; step-daughter, Danielle Ritchie; step-son, John Olson, Jr., brother Jim McGovern; sister, Mary Murakami; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service with private internment was held at San Marcos Lutheran Church on Oct. 30, 2010.
