Antonio Martins Obituary

Antonio Martins Resident of San Lorenzo Sept. 30, 1919 - Nov. 9, 2010 Antonio Martins passed away peacefully on Tuesday. He touched many lives with his friendly personality. Antonio was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and grew up in Portugal. Upon returning to the U.S. as an adult, he worked at Autolite and then at A.C. Transit until retirement. He enjoyed bicycling, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Maria. He is survived by devoted daughters Isaura Satingin of San Lorenzo, Emilia Martins of San Leandro, and Helena Carvalheira of Scotts Valley, and grandchildren Emanuel, Eric and Elizabeth Satingin, and Sophia and Evan Carvalheira, and one great granddaughter Kaylyn Satingin. His kind spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation begins Thursday November 11, 2010 Noon to 8:30 P.M. with the Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro. The funeral procession will leave the mortuary on Friday at 11:30 A.M. to be at St. John's Church for the Funeral Liturgy Celebrating his life commencing at 12:00 P.M.
