Robert BROWNE Obituary

Robert "Wally" Browne Resident of Fremont Robert, age 86, died on Oct. 30th, 2010, after a long illness. He is survived by 3 children: Terry of Captain Cook, HI and Tom & Sally Jo of Fremont. Wally grew up in Twin Falls, ID. During WW II, he served in the Army Air Corp, piloting 29 missions over Germany. This proved to be one of the most memorable periods of his life. After the war, he resumed college, graduating from the University of Idaho, Moscow in 1949 with a BS degree in civil engineering. Later that same year he married Virginia Hilmer, beginning a relationship that ended 44 years later with her passing in 1994. Over the years he worked for the Bureau of Reclamation, Atlas Powder and finished his career with 36 years at FMC Corp in Newark, retiring in 1985. Retirement brought time to bird watch, garden & golf, among other pursuits. His volunteer work over the years ranged from the Boy Scouts to helping Seniors prepare their tax forms. A private service was held. We love & miss you Dad!
