Mary Rodriguez Obituary

Mary L. Rodriguez Dec. 31, 1917 - Nov. 11, 2010 Resident of Castro Valley Mary L. Rodriguez entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley on November 11, 2010. She was 92 years old. Born in Arizona on December 31, 1917, Mary was a longtime parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church. She had worked for over 30 years, and retired from Stella Dora in San Leandro. A woman of strength and independence, Mary had lived on her own until her passing. Devoted to her family, she was a wonderful homemaker, always cooking and baking and tending to her garden. Mary took great pride in her three children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will truly be missed. Mary is survived by her beloved and devoted children, Rudy (Caroline) Rodriguez of San Lorenzo, Ana Marie Rodriguez of San Leandro and Frances Lindemon of Hayward. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Robert, Ana, Booker, Mara, and great grandchildren, Haley, Robbie, Booker, Jr., and Wade. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Rodriguez in 1977. Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, November 16th from 4 to 8 pm at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday at 7 pm at the chapel. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at St. John's Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. She will be laid to rest at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Veterans' Organization of your choice.
