Alberta "Bertie" Ferriera

Alberta "Bertie" Ferriera Jan 30, 1916 - Nov 11, 2010 Resident of San Leandro Born in Jenny Lind (Calaveras County) CA. She lived most of her life in Alameda County, 42 yrs. in Oakland, 21 yrs. in Hayward, and the last 20 yrs. in San Leandro. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mal Ferriera in 1983. Loving mother of Dixie Ferriera and Phil Ferriera both of San Leandro. Survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bertie was a homebody who was devoted to her children and family. She also loved gardening, especially her roses and her outdoor canaries which she raised for over forty years. She was an accomplished organist and pianist and often played for family and friends who would sing along. She was a wounderful and caring lady and we will miss her forever.
