Ellen Torres July 27, 1924 - Nov. 18, 2010 Resident of Hayward Ellen Torres passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2010 after a short sick bed. She will be missed for her kindness and tender manner. She will be missed very much by her immediate and extended family. With her roots in Estonia, where she was born in 1924, she led an exciting and peaceful life together with her surviving husband and retired military man, Ed. She also leaves two children, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her garden, making the house and mostly her family. She was always at the ready for them, day and night. She's also going to be sorely missed by the many friends she and her husband have in Hayward, especially at Southland Mall where she was a regular. Ellen's final service will be on Sunday November 21 at the Chapel of the Chimes at 9.30am and her ashes will be spread over her beloved San Francisco Bay at a later date.
