Maria Rocha Obituary

Maria J. Rocha Dec. 21, 1913 - Dec. 1, 2010 OF SAN LEANDRO Maria J. Rocha, a native of Terceira, Acores, passed away peacefully at her home December 01, 2010 with her children at her side. She was 96 years old. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Caetano Rocha. Maria was a devoted mother, grand-mother and great-grand-mother who enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. Even when she was ill, she couldn't hide the excitement of seeing her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son Joseph Rocha, daughters Colette Enos and Neusa Pollard, grandchildren Lucy and Joseph Rocha, Angela, Andrea, Alicia, and Anthony Enos, Christina and Clifford Pollard, and three great-grandchildren. The eldest of eight children, she is also survived by her sister Virginia do Alamo and brother Francisco Correia. Family and friends are invited to a visitation Sunday, December 5, from 12:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro and a funeral service Monday, December 6, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leander's Church, 474 W. Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward. Donations to the National Kidney Foundation preferred.
