Annette Vella Obituary

Annette (Vassallo) Vella Apr. 15, 1935-Nov. 28 2010 Resident of San Leandro Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Annette Vella, daughter of the late Frank and Frances Vassallo; resident of San Leandro was born and raised in San Leandro. Annette is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph Vella Jr; daughters Michelle A. Reis and Denise V. Araiza; sister Phyllis Cole and brother Frank Vassallo. Annette has four grandchildren whom she dearly loved and spoiled as often as possible; Sarah (Reis) Matson, Travis Araiza, Shaun Reis and Kyle Araiza. Annette loved the outdoors and spent much of her time hiking and camping all over Northern California and at the beach . Annette was ambassador girl scout and supported the Girl Scouts throughout her lifetime. She was an avid reader of historical novels. Annette was an alumni of San Jose State Univ. She spent 20 years of her career at Chevron USA, public affairs where she made a strong contribution to that work and in the community. Above all, Annette Vella, was an extremely loving, caring, giving, patient, and forgiving person. She was an excellent cook showing her love to many with her delicious Italian dishes. We were so glad to have you, Netsy, we will miss you greatly and remember you always. Love, Her devoted husband for eternity Services will be held at St. Felicitas Church in San Leandro

My condolences to the family of Annette Vassallo Vella. Through her daughter, Denise, I know she was a wonderful and loving mother and woman. May you all find comfort in her legacy of love that remains and PEACE in her everlasting spirit.
