Donald J. Andrade "Pops" Oct. 2, 1930 - Dec. 9, 2010 Resident of Fremont Donald J. Andrade passed away on December 9, 2010 in Fremont. He was born in Niles on October 2, 1930. He attended Decoto Grammar School and graduated from Washington High School in 1948. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Butler in 1950. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Beloved father to Janet Handa and her husband Bill, and Kathy Fell and her husband Richard, both of Fremont. Loving grandfather to Jessica Fell, Brian Fell, and Danny Handa. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Butler Andrade, in 2000. He was a warehouse manager for 40 years and after retirement, he worked for Dale Hardware. He was a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan, liked taking trips to Reno, and spending time with his family. A Memorial Service will be held for Donald on Tuesday, Dec. 14th, 6pm at, Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536.
