Ilene May Silva

Ilene May Silva Sept. 12, 1929 - Dec. 9, 2010 Resident of Castro Valley Beloved wife of Manuel Silva, and devoted mother of Edward Silva and the late Anthony Silva. She was the cherished grandmother of Dilek Silva and Haley Silva, and great-grandmother of Ayva May Silva-Daniel. She was also the loving mother-in-law of Yildiz Silva and Gabriela Aucello. Ilene leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ilene was an amazing lady who was loved by everyone who met her. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and positive outlook on life. She was born in Oakland and graduated from Castlemont High School. On her 19th birthday she married the love of her life, and they stayed happily married for the next 62 wonderful years. She was a resident of Castro Valley since 1953. She always kept in touch with friends and relatives by phone, and loved sending cards and letters. She especially loved birthdays and holidays, and enjoyed cooking for large family get-togethers. Ilene was just a wonderful and special lady who will be dearly missed. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, December 17th, 2010, at 1:00 pm at the Holy Angels Sorensen Chapel, 1140 B Street, Hayward, Ca 94541.
