To the entire Mitchell Family -

All of us at Donahue Gallagher Woods were greatly saddened to learn of Grace's passing. Grace was a consummate professional during her long career with the firm and provided an example to all of us on conducting oneself with quiet confidence. When I first joined the firm in 1977, Grace was the keeper of the door for Joe Woods, then the partner in control of the firm, and she always had a friendly smile for the "baby" lawyers nervously seeking to talk to the boss.

Grace possessed an elegance no longer commonly seen in the workplace and a sense of decorum that helped keep many of us in line when things got tense. As has been noted, she was also the last word in the office on word usage in a group that writes for a living.

Grace will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with you all.

Our sincere condolences,

Eric Doney

To Ellen, Marti & Jeanie,
I was so sad to hear about your mother in the Palm Springs Desert Sun. I worked with her at the Museum for a number of years and loved her very much. We have emailed a number of times since she moved up north. What a worker she was! I was the "babysitter" for her beloved cats when she went on trips with you. I loved her and her kitties. I am also going to mention two other friends that I know loved her very much: Linda Chapman and Frances Gomez, from the Museum also. They have moved away from here but I will let them know. They will be so sad to hear this. Grace was one of our favorite friends and we were so blessed to have known her. Love to you girls, Barbara Wharton, P.O. Box 1499, Palm Springs, CA 92263
