Rita Louise Urrutia Aug. 26, 1918 - Jan. 6, 2011 Resident of Newark Rita Parra Urrutia, age 92, a long time resident of Newark, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Modesto. Born on August 26, 1918 in Hanford. Survived by her last sister Virginia Days, age 97. Married on January 1, 1939 to the late Joe R. Urrutia with their five children: the late Rosemarie & Bill Klimek, Sandra & Victor Perez, Hope & the late George Hill, Joe & Lillian Urrutia, and David & the late Geri Urrutia. She also leaves behind her 9 grandkids, 23 great grandkids and 4 great-great grandkids. Rita loved good food and socializing with her family, enjoyed watching movies and watching all of her grandkids & great grandkids playing ball. Rita loved praying her daily rosary and attending mass at St. Edward's Catholic Church and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room that will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, from 8-10am with a rosary at 9:30am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Avenue, Newark, 94560. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
