Being good friends with Lisa, i can see the affect that Dan had on her and her family. Even though i was never so lucky, as to have met him, i know he would be just like Lisa(: in every way. She is such a wonderful girl and an amazingly strong girl. My prayers go out to you Lisa and your Mom and family, and know im always praying for you.

My name is Lisa Kelsey and I share your sorrow at the passing of this beautiful young man Daniel. I suppose I am a distant cousin as we also trace back to William Kelsey. I wanted to share with you the loss of another beautiful young Kelsey man, please check his site at the Virtual Wall. http://www.vvmf.org//index.cfm?SectionID=110&Wall_Id_No=27586

Dear Friends,
A year ago today (May 12, 2007) Dan received an Associate Degree from WCTC. We have good memories of that day.
We have a new e-mail address and would enjoy hearing some of your memories.
We really miss Dan and daily experience the sufficiency of God's grace during this time of grieving.

Keri, I just read about this on JSOnline this morning - I am so sorry and was very sad and shocked to read about Dan. I think the last time I saw the two of you was at my wedding in April of 1994; we lost touch after that but I've often thought of you over the years. You and Lisa will be in my prayers.

I am so sorry I was not able to attend Dan's funeral, but I was there in spirit. I will always reflect on the few fond memories I have of my cousin Dan. I had not seen him in many years but I still remember his sense of humor and contageous smile. My heart breaks for everyone experiencing this great loss, but rejoices for Dan - who is now in a much better place than we are. I look forward to seeing him again one day. Love, Dana

I just found out about Dan's passing from a Harley publication, (H-D World). I'm truely sorry for your loss. I knew Dan from W.C.T.C. as an instructor and classmate. Sadly, I didn't know him better, but I could tell he was a devoted father and husband. It was with very heavy heart and teary eyes that I read your beautiful on-line eulogy and viewed the slide presentation. Life is short and he was taken too soon.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your 'guest book' entries. We are blessed to have so many caring friends.
Dan was born on 1-11-65 in Milwaukee, WI. He married Keri Kroboth on 11-27-91. God blessed them with Lisa on 2-21-95.
Dan was employed as a Surface Designer with Harley-Davidson for the past two years. He received his Associate Degree in Applied Science; Mechanical Design Technology from WCTC on May 10 (quite an accomplishment for a 'drop-out' from high school).
God performed 'a radical transformation' in Dan's life when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1992. We are confident that his spirit is in heaven. He is truly free from the challenges he was experiencing in this world.
Dan was 'ushered into heaven' on 6-15-07. A pickup truck turned into his lane; he was driving his motorcycle.
Please continue to uphold our family in prayer as we deal with this great loss.
May God richly bless you and your loved ones.

Keri,
I can't begin to imagine the emptiness & grief you must be feeling! I pray that the Holy Spirit fills your heart with the 'Peace That Passes Understanding'. I'm sorry we lost touch after our time together at FMLH. You always were such a sweet little 'spackle-head'! You deserve happiness in your life, not sorrow! You & your daughter are in my prayers!

Condolendces to the entire family. I was a neighbor of the Kelsey's on No.70th Street in 1970 when Dan was about 8 years old. We lived across the street and had many good times with Jacque & Donna. My daughter Laura played with Faith.

Dan was part of my organization at work. I was impressed with the outpouring of support at the viewing and funeral service yesterday. Dan's brother's reflections and particularly his father's comments on being a loving father, wanting to hug and be hugged was a powerful message to us all. May God bless all of you in these difficult times.

I have known Dan for a little over two years. I met him shortly after I moved to Wisconsin. His personality was immediately compatible with mine. I quickly felt as comfortable with him as I do with people I have known for decades. I know that if he hadn't left us so suddenly, he and I would have been life-long friends. He was so funny and sensitive and genuine. We used to laugh so hard together. Many times I brought him to tears with my impressions of famous rock stars. When I was feeling down because I was lacking exciting hobbies in Wisconsin, he took it upon himself to nag me daily, for months, until I bought an off-road motorcycle so that I could go riding with him. And ride we did. He introduced me to a new facet of life that I will always enjoy. He told me on multiple occasions that when he was feeling down, his spirits were lifted when he kidded around with me. He told me that he felt our playful interactions were therapeutic. I am honored I could be a positive factor in his life. Being in his presence, I could just feel it inside me that he was someone worth knowing and holding close. We understood each other. This is so sad. I will always feel this void. However I will always smile when I think of Dan, because that is what we did when we were together; smile. Dan-O! D.K.! I love you, buddy.

Dear Keri & Lisa:
It seems like just yesterday you were sharing a story with me that something tragic happened to the family that lived next to you, and how we talked about how difficult something like that would be. I'm so sorry that you both now have to go through the same thing that you helped some friends go through no too long ago. May your faith in God stay strong and help guide you through these tough times. You have been in my thoughts and prayers, and I will continue to pray for both of you. I miss you cute lil girlies, and can't wait to see you soon.
<3 always,
~Heather

Dear Keri, Lisa, & family;
Both Rodney & I were saddened to hear about your unexpected loss. We instantly remembered how much fun you two were at the many Froedtert O.R. Christmas parties. Rodney always looked forward to seeing Dan and talking with him. I know that this is a most difficult time for you and Lisa so try to focus on the good and know that more good will come in life. My thoughts are with you. Do not hesistate to let me know if there is anything that you need or that I could help you with.
My favorite Eskimo legend states: "Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us to let us know they are happy."

Your friend,
Kathryn

My heart is heavy with this sad news. Dan and I worked together at JWS – avoiding the work if possible … he’d much rather share photos or stories of Kari and Lisa. His sense of humor was contagious; his faith in God and love of his family was enthusiastic. He was a true and trusting friend that I will miss but always remember. My deepest sympathy to Dan’s family and loved ones. Yes, God’s speed Dan!

Scott Stonecipher

June 19, 2007

"So, you been here long?" was the standard greeting from Dan regardless of when we'd last seen each other, whether 20 minutes or 12 months. I'll be listening for that question always and I'm sure to hear it in the wind.
I'm proud to have been counted among your friends Dan.
Godspeed.

Dan's likeable personality rewarded him with many friends. He will forever have a spot in my heart and serve as as an example of what a friend realy is. His real love of life was his family for which he often sacrifised his own wants and desires to meet theirs. Dan's faith led him down the right path... Unfortunately he was on the short route to heaven. The sorrow is for us who will miss a Husband, a Father, or friend as there is no sorrow for those who meet the Lord. Godspeed Dan.

Dan was a genuine good guy, who loved his family and GOD with all he could. I used to work with Dan. I remember all the pictures he kept at his desk of Kari and Lisa. Kari, Lisa...he was so pround of his family, he always spoke highly of you. My heart goes out to you, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God takes the best first! It was a great honor to have known Dan. There will always be a spot in our hearts for Dan! See ya in heaven buddy!
