Phyllis Davis Obituary
DAVIS, PHYLLIS "TONI" - Of Jackson, passed away after a long illness on Monday, November 24, 2008, age 70 years. Survived by her husband, Clarence "Sonny" Davis; four children, Chris (Helen) Davis, Scott (Claudia) Davis, Kira (Chris) Gregorchik and Alana (Chris) Blunt; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Brown and Jacqueline (John) Fisher; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Shadrach and Sara Christian. Mrs. Davis was a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse in the Jackson County area. She was a member of the Morningstar Christian Community and St. Mary's Parish. Toni enjoyed lunch with her girlfriends and spending time with her family. Mrs. Davis is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Jeffrey Robideau officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society, Birthline, or the Center for Women would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Rosary Friday, 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. www.Mlive.com/obits

I know Mrs. Davis never knew me but I was very close to her husband for a time in my life when he was my counselor. I am deeply saddened by your loss Mr. Davis and I hope you find yourself being able to read this message. I lost mom three years ago and know how it feels to lose someone so close. Toni, was a very dear person both to my Mom, Nancy Kohorst and our family. Our visits with Toni always left us smiling and cheered by her great inner glow of life. Her family will be held in love and prayers by Nancy Kohorst, George and Carol Hicks, Lorelei Weldon, Dawn Huettner and Heather Smith.

Toni was such a vibrant young lady. I had the pleasure of getting to know Toni and Sonny when she had a brief stay at the Toledo skilled nursing facility I ran. I will remember her fondly always. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sonny and his family during this difficult time. May God be with each of you on your journey called life.
