Marie Lochowitz

RACINE - Marie (nee: Brack) Lochowitz, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Marie was born in Sheboygan June 12, 1912, daughter of the late Phillip and Elizabeth (nee: Ertel) Brack. Marie was united in marriage to E.J. 'Jack' Willett in 1941, who preceded her in death in 1951. She then married Bernard Lochowitz in 1969, who preceded her in death in 1998. Marie was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Humble Forward Card Club. She was an avid schafskopf player and an excellent cook. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, who will be dearly missed. Survivors include her son, John (Jill) Willett of Racine; her daughter, Doris (Alan) Dennis of Mount Home, Ark.; her two grandsons, Technical Sergeant Charles (Kathy) Holtz Jr. of Grand Fork, N.D. serving in Qatar, Kyle (Heather) Willett of Union Grove; her four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Steven, and Brittany; brother, John (Carol) Brack of Union Grove; sisters, Lydia (Herbert) Bower, Lucille Brewer, Elizabeth Shick, Dorothy Lubecke, Hildagard (James) Christensen, Evelyn Lesser, Clare (Cliff) Schoedl, Elsie Hintz; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, John Holtz; brothers, Philip Brack Jr., Robert Brack, Ernest Brack, Edward Brack; sisters, Rose Shipman and Emily Brack. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3350 Lathrop Avenue, Friday, February 1, 2008, 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Garden Crypts. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church have been suggested. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Nurse Cathy and All Saints Hospice, St. Mary's Medical Center staff, and the Harbor House staff for their loving and compassionate care.
