Lisa Trafton Obituary

SUN PRAIRIE - Lisa Marie Trafton, 20, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005, at University Hospital in Madison. She was born in Racine May 25, 1985, to Milton and Ruth (nee: Veto) Trafton. Lisa attended the Lighthouse School in Racine prior to moving to Sun Prairie in 1992. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School and was a past member of the Model United Nations and participated in the Academic Decathlon. She was currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Psychology, English, and Poetry. She was a member of the Thespian Society and had a passion for drama and acting. She was also a member and Fellowship Vice-President of Alpha Phi Omega, which is a service organization involved with various community programs. She had a passion for helping others and was involved in many causes and most recently, in spite of her illness, she completed a walk for diabetes. Lisa was a member of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed. Surviving are her parents, Milton and Ruth; her sister, Erica, all of Sun Prairie; her loving grandmother, Darrleen Veto of Racine; other relatives and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Melvin Veto and Donald and Opal Trafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 21, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. William Dietzler officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Highway 32. Visitation will be on Friday at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Lisa, we went to school together for 3 years and spent a good chunk of those years doing the many drama festivities. I will never forget those parties! We had some good times and you will be greatly missed.

I did not know Lisa very well, but worked with her for a short time at The Pipefitter of Madison WI. She was always willing to help anyone, and her smile and good spirit will be missed by all her co-workers and myself. We are all very sorry for your loss, but Lisa will be remembered always.
