Dear Jim,
I was so sad to hear about Alice. Although I hadn't known her long and each meeting was fleeting, she impressed me with her strength of spirit and vibrant personality. I will miss her brief visits to the office and her friendly attitude to life and everyone around her.
My thoughts are with you.

Jim and family:
It was a pleasure being a member of CKCS with Alice and you. I loved reading that Alice's favorite saying was "This is what God gave me today". This is an example for all of us to follow.

Dear Jim and Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you say farewell to this special treasure of a woman. She remains in our earthly hearts as she keeps her eye on us - with an even better vantage point now! As fellow technical writers, she and I shared the red-pen mindset; she immersed herself into all she did with an inimitable “pragmatist's passion” but could always be counted on to shatter “too much seriousness” with a wink and a giggle.

You will forever witness the presence of Alice’s love all around you, in all you see and do…may that comfort you during this difficult time.

Love and energy to you...

Death is nothing at all...
I have only slipped into the next room…I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoy together. Play. Smile. Think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight. I am waiting for you for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.

Miss Alice will always be managing us around with the headset on after a 15 hour telethon day in my memory. I wil always be grateful to her for my first 'real' job and for all the fun we had at our
"Toy' tv station. She was my mentor, creative partner and friend for 25 years and will always be in my heart and my family.

Jim and family: you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers and urge you to let us know if you need anything. Although hearts are heavy, angels are rejoicing.
