Hazel Buckley Dickerson

DICKERSON Hazel Buckley, 86, wife of C. Dan Dickerson, died Thu, Dec 11, 2008. Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Elizabeth Buckley. She was an active member and volunteer at Immanuel Baptist Church. She was an avid bridge player, was excellent at solving crossword puzzles and a Navy veteran. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her daughters, Claudia (David) Clarkson, Atlanta, GA and Carol (Norman) Drury, Lexington; grandchildren, Justin Drury, Ryan Clarkson, Melissa Clarkson Zbeeb and Todd Clarkson; and one great grandson, Asa James Zbeeb. She had many special friends, too many to list. Hazel touched many lives, a vibrant and generous spirit, a life to remember and celebrate. Funeral services will be 11:30am Mon at Milward-Southland conducted by Rev. David Howard. Burial will follow Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sun.
