Dorothy Turek Obituary

TUREK Dorothy Marie, of Lake Ozark, MO passed away Tue, May 15, 2007 at Lake Ozark Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO Dorothy was born in Priest River, Idaho, July 1st 1924 to James Edward and Flossie Hydorn-Carr, the youngest of four children. She moved to Juneau, Alaska in 1942 were she met Alois G. (Hap) Turek while he was serving in the Coast Guard and they were married in Douglas, Alaska on August 10th 1944. All preceded her in death. After Hap finished his tour of duty they moved to St. Louis, MO where they made their home and she worked for J. C. Penny's until here retirement in 1969. In 1978 they moved to their lake home in Rocky Mount, MO and in 1994 they moved to Ozark Meadows in Lake Ozark. She is survived by her son, James Norman Turek and wife Iris of Lexington, KY, daughter Jean LaMarca and husband Tony of Kaiser, MO, 5 grandchildren; Jimmy and Brandon Turek of Lexington, KY, Stacia LaMarca of Lake Ozark, MO, Andy LaMarca and wife Julie and Bettina LaMarca of St. Charles, MO, 3 great-grandchildren; Pete Bellington of Lake Ozark, MO, Emily Brennan and Jessica LaMarca of St Charles, MO; one sister-in-law, June Turek of St. Louis, MO. Dorothy was a member of Lake Ozark Christian Church in Lake Ozark. She loved her church, family, friends and animals. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held for Dorothy and Hap, Fri May 25, 2007 at 1 at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery on Gravois in St. Louis, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter, 1075 Runabout Dr., Osage Beach, MO. or Lake Ozark Christian Church on Bagnell Dam Blvd Lake Ozark, MO
