Jeff and Mike and families,
Very saddened to hear of your loss, this is obviously a difficult year for all of us. I only got to meet your dad on a few occasions, but from knowing the both of you, it is easy to understand what kind of man he was....he led an extraordinary life yet remained humble....that same humility lies within each of you, along with the numerous other fine qualities you possess, yes your father might be gone but his legacy lives on through the two fine boys he raised, and i was blessed to know in my youth....my your father be at peace and i hope you two can find peace with his passing....your old b-ball buddy bruce

You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss Uncle Randy and wished we could have been there for the services but were in Maine visiting Rob and the family.

I met Mr. Gumpert several times when he came to the Roselle Catholic Baseball shows run by Joe Miller. I found Mr. Gumpert to be an outstanding gentleman who seemed to sincerely appreciate his fans. He took his time each time he autographed something and had a beautiful signature. All his fans will miss him. An important part of baseball history is lost... RIP

Mike, Jeff, Cindy and Family:
My deepest sympathies go out to you. Your father was a great man. I was happy to be there last month when he was inducted onto the DB Wall of Fame. That honor was well deserved and long overdue. I'm glad he was able to attend that ceremony.
