Even in a family of 12 siblings, Rosanne Lang stood out.

"She danced the longest, sang the loudest — even though she couldn't carry a tune — and she loved the fiercest," said her brother, Gerard.

At 42, Ms. Lang was an equities trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, a job that afforded her a nicely landscaped home with a pool in Middletown, N.J., and a share, with two siblings, in a beach house in Sea Bright, N.J.

She was the first girl after her parents had six sons. They grew up in Brooklyn, but eventually most of them, including the parents, Rose and William, ended up in the Middletown area. Ms. Lang moved to Los Angeles with her husband and infant son, Michael, but after a divorce, she moved to New Jersey, and forged a life for herself and Michael, now 17, surrounded by family.

"Rosanne was a self-made, successful woman," said William Lang, the oldest of her 11 siblings, who also lives in Middletown. "She was successful in spite of the fact that we all had our preconceived notions about her. After all, she had six older brothers. She was this amazing woman, always smiling."

The Lang family experienced a double tragedy on Sept. 11: William Lang's son, Brendan, 30, also died.

Not sure what to say?

By chance a few weeks ago, I stopped to chat at the memorial pool with a traveling companion. I glanced down and saw this name. This is a less common spelling of the name. It made the memorial much more personal for me, and I will long remember this human who is uncannily connected to me in some way.

"No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time." Nor from my heart and soul. Miss you sis......and always will.....Thank you all for your kind words, and especially your prays. She still sends signs, always leaves a smile on my face, as only Rosanne can and continues to do.....

Roseanne,
While it has been 20 years since 9/11, I think of you often. I miss your cheery laughter and I continue to think of our plans to open our own investment firm with me managing money and you trading.

On that horrible day, you left me an early morning message - telling me the market update for the day and asking me to trade with you. I returned your call, hoping beyond hope, that you left the building after leaving that message. I must have dialed your number a...

As we reach the 20th anniversary of 9/11 I want to remember Rosanne who touched many lives with her warmth, her humor, her friendship, and her love for those around her. While I was a client, Rosanne made me feel like a family member and a true friend. May God continue to rest her soul and those of us who knew Rosanne are truly blessed.

Rosanne didn't die in vain. But she's in a nicer place...

I cant even imagine losing two children in such a tragic and senseless way and at the same time. My condolences to the family. Please know the God of comfort knows your pain and promises to reunite us with our loved ones on a peaceful paradise earth where we will never suffer again.

Today, 09/11/2018, we remember you Rosanne. We will never forget. Wishing all the best to your family and friends. Much regards.

Rest In Peace. Your name was the random one we googled at the Liberty State Park Memorial to make it real. What a great woman. God bless you and your family.
