There are only a few people whom you connect with in your lifetime that memorable. Tina Cass was one of those people. She had that rare ability to make others feel appreciated. I truly am sad her life ended way to soon.

It is hard to know how many ties I have thought of Tina over the past year. I remember fondly attending her wedding, and what a happy day that was. I remember how much fun we had making dozens and dozens of deviled eggs for the annual Oakwood Club golf tournament. Another fond memory were the hours the two of us spent decorating the dinning room, bar and planters out front for Christmas. What I admired most about Tina was her ability to roll with the punches and her cheerful attitude. I truly miss the relationship we had.

What I first remember about Tina, was her terrific, friendly smile. She had a fun-loving way about her that was infectious. On more than one occasion, she would encourage me to "lighten" up and have fun. Tina started out as my assistant and took over the office management and accounting side of the business in 1988. She was dedicated to learning everything about the accounting process, even though that was not her first love. Tina was a very hard worker. And would tackle any task that came her way. I remember when we worked together preparing for the Oakwood Club Golf tournaments, back in the 1980s, making deviled eggs. She led the task of boiling and peeling 100 dozen boiled eggs, slicing them, carefully extracting the yolk, turning it into a delicious filling to put back into the white shells. What a Job! We laughed and joked the whole time. Occasionally we would work the Hostess and Coat check jobs together. I think Tina was born to be a "Hostess", so welcoming and so engaging. What I learned from working with Tina was to be kind and more accepting of others. I will miss talking with her.

Bill,
It’s a beautiful tribute to let the world in on your not so secret love for Tina.
She hated that you had to write it, because in her own words...she lived, she died. But what you wrote was the love story in between.
Thank you. I will miss her.

My deepest sympathy to Bill, Lance and his beautiful daughters (Kelly & Melissa), and the many people who knew and loved Tina. She was one-of-a-kind, no question about that - and so beautiful in spirit and in appearance. And FUN? She was hilarious and joyful; I admired her greatly. May she rest in peace and joy, and my warm regards and deepest sympathy to her family.
