I'm going to miss all the fun we had together, the crisp autumn days spent in the smokies, the card games, hearing you say," you wanna go down Rick, or do you want me to?" I wish you were here so I could make you a cheesecake and watch you hoard it because it was yours. As autumn wanes, I will forever see your smile and hold it in the quiet poignance, propping me up for the long winters eve. Your seat holds a vacancy nothing can fill. I'm pulling my blanket around me and shivering a bit, knowing you aren't here with us, but safe in the assurance when all my winters have come and gone, I will once again see the shadow of your smile.
