Ms Val as I called her. Such a sweet spirit and so kind. Never changed who she was throughout the years of knowing her. Her daughter and I were good friends. When I couldn’t handle the passing of her sweet daughter, my friend Ms Val had sent me the obituary in the mail. How kind and thoughtful was that. I will miss her sweet face. Give Diona a kiss for me. May you both RIH Yolanda ~

I dearly loved Val. I always made sure to talk to her when we would pass in the halls at work or the lady's room. She used to work with my mom and then me. I always loved hearing what was new going on in her life. I'm sad she never got to retire and be on her own schedule of life and enjoy what she worked so hard for. I will miss her voice and her stature.She was my friend.

Ms. Val was so special to me, I got to know her at H&R Block, and then later as we worked together at Assurant. She was truly an amazing woman and friend. I also lived just down the street from her. I personally would make sure she ate her lunch when she came into H&R Block and took her meds. Did the same at Assurant when I’d pass her. When I’d arrive home I’d make sure her car was parked and she was safely inside her house before I’d walk into mine. I look at Ms.Val as a mentor and an amazing friend. She is going to be very missed.
