STURWOLD, Robert N.

Sidney, Ohio. Robert N. Sturwold, 91, formerly of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Wilson Hospital in Sidney, Ohio, after a short illness.

Bob was born on July 28, 1929, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Bernard (Ben) and Christene (Huwer) Sturwold. Surviving are his brother Roy (Mary) Sturwold of Russia, Ohio, and sister, Sister Rita Sturwold, SNDdeN, of Cincinnati, his nieces and nephew, Sharon (Jeff) Krietemeyer of Cincinnati, Theresa (Christopher) Siefring of Fort Recovery, Carol Stillman of

Powell, Michael Sturwold of Cincinnati and 2 great-nieces and 7 great-nephews.

In 1957, Bob received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and obtained his CPA. Bob worked in Los Angeles for several years. Moving to Nice, France, he was employed by the U.S. Government to facilitate the closing of the U.S. Air Base there. Bob traveled around the world, taking pictures and learning about many countries. In 1967, Bob moved to Fairborn, Ohio, and was a computer

programmer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base until his

retirement in 1994.

A generous person, Bob's final gift was donating his body to Wright State University Medical Center.

The family is grateful to the nurses and staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital and Wilson Hospice and to the administrators, nurses, staff, and Dr. Topalov at Fair Haven Home for their kindness and outstanding care.
