Mary RENNEKER Obituary
Age 95 of Cincinnati, passed away at Maple Knoll Village on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Mary was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 14, 1925, to
Raymond and Irene Wagner. Mary, an amazing mother, and matriarch of three generations, earned her spot in heaven. Mary was undeterred by obstacles. She did the Alaska Highway twice, the first time when it was a gravel road. She drove the family on vacations to Florida, Michigan and California. Even after a stroke she traveled as far as Texas, Newfoundland and Alaska. At Maple Knoll Village she was a volunteer on the Future Care Fund, and participated in many activities including the gym, field trips, art studio, singing, Bingo and spirit drumming. She reveled in her enormous family. For her ninetieth birthday a reunion was held at Hueston Woods. Mary is survived by her children, Richard (Steve Leonard) Mick, Betty (Darrell) Land, Vince (Carol) Mick, Joe (Debbie) Mick, Janice (Gene) Broermann, Patty (Ron) Crysel and Mark Mick;
her 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; and her sisters, Dorothy Brinker and Joan Dierkers; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands,
Richard J. Mick, Herbert Mick and Maurice Renneker; and her brother, Raymond Wagner. Private Mass of Christian Burial to be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. My mother was a recipient Mary's kindness and graciousness for the past 2 and a 1/2 years. Mary was welcoming and supportive to my mother as a room mate. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Mary and sharing conversations about her family and love of the Reds. It was easy to forget how strong Mary was in her last years, because she made everyone feel so welcome. RIP Mary.
