Lloyd Maxwell
Lloyd Maxwell Carden, Jr., 67, of Springfield, OH, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Springfield Regional Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1953, in Springfield. Lloyd was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a self-employed carpenter, and he enjoyed hunting, camping, canoeing, and just being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Teresa G. Carden on September 12, 2018; two sons, Joshua P. Carden and Justin M. Carden; and his father, Lloyd M. Carden. He is survived by his mother, Helen (Smith) Beatty; two stepchildren, Angela M. Cardosi and Dale A. Cardosi; grandchildren; David (Myra) Watson, Brittney (Don) Dietsch, Brianna Pierce, Derek Mott, Damian Carden, and Kaleb Carden; siblings, Becky Carden, Rita Carden, Alden (Pamela) Beatty, Janetta (Todd) Showalter; his canine sidekick, Abby; and many loved great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family from 5-6 pm. Face masks are required. Lloyd's ashes will be buried at a later date in Vale Cemetery with his wife. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
