Barbara ADKINS Obituary
70 of Springfield, passed away January 3, 2021, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Snyderville, Ohio, on September 20, 1950, the daughter of Andrew and Kathryn Roberts. Barbara has worked in food service for many years. She was known as an exceptional baker (just ask her grandkids). In her younger years, she was an avid bowler in the Clark County League at Victory Lanes on Saturday nights. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brother Eddie Oesterle; sisters Audrey Oesterle and Kathy Baldwin; and brother-in-law Kenneth
Dishon. Survivors include her husband John L. Adkins, whom she married September 5, 1967; children Debby (Chris)
Thibault, Danny (Sherry Bean) Adkins, Richard Adkins and
Melissa (Mike) Martin; sister Bev Dishon; brother-in-law Glen Baldwin; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Barbara's family would like to thank Dr. Makhoul and his nurses' Belinda and Meghann and Dr. Varghese and Rose for their kindness and support over the years. COVID protocol will be upheld. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. Services to honor Barbara will be Saturday at 10:00AM in the Memorial Home with Rev. Steve Wallace officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made at
